There’s still time to join Transylvania’s Class of 2028. High school seniors can apply until Feb. 1 to be considered for most merit-based scholarships, with the exception of Premier Scholarships.
Submitting an application by the February deadline is critical because “these students will be considered for all potential grants during the financial aid process,” said Julie Sams, Transylvania’s director of admissions. “Applying by Feb. 1 also guarantees students on-campus housing,” she added, noting that the university has reached housing capacity in the past.
Applying is free and easy. Along with a brief application, students must submit a copy of their high school transcript, which can be sent directly to the Office of Admissions by their guidance counselor. As a test-optional institution, Transy does not require students to submit ACT or SAT scores, and essays are also not required if a student submits the Transy application. Students may choose to submit test scores, essays and a recommendation from a school administrator.
A Transy education is unique, offering a small-school experience in the heart of a mid-sized city that is consistently ranked as one of the best for new college graduates. Thanks in part to the university’s high graduation and job placement rates, Transy alumni pursue bold paths with a variety of high-profile employers, then return to their alma mater to help current Pioneers find their way.
Applications received after Feb. 1 will be considered for admission on a space-available basis.
